Inspired by legendary settings such as Firefly, Westworld, Trigun or Cowboy Bebop, Deep Sky Ballad is a space western TTRPG published by Winged Lion Games in which the characters take on the role of members of a Posse: more or less closely related fortune seekers who share their resources and a spaceship in search of purpose or wealth. The game mechanics are based on the Blackjack System, a poker card-based system; it is the same rules system used by the Arcana Familia TTRPG and gives the player the ability to balance the power and precision of an action through what can be considered a subgame. They also include a fast but complete space battle system that allows all characters, regardless of their role, to contribute, and a character bonding system that rewards interaction and the development of interpersonal relationships, for better or for worse.
